Shri Paramjit Singh Chhatwal, 5 October 1951 to 18 October 2022, laid the foundation of Torque Pharma with purpose and conviction. He began this journey with co-founder Mr A.I.S. Bedi, bringing together vision, discipline, and industry understanding. His background in science and eight years at Sarabhai Chemicals gave him strong practical insight into pharmaceuticals. He remained committed to making effective and dependable medicines accessible to people across communities.
His leadership helped Torque Pharma establish a strong presence and emerge as a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company. He placed lasting importance on quality, safety, efficacy, and responsible growth. As a senior member of the Himachal Drug Manufacturers Association and a participant in NIPER meetings, he supported industry progress. His legacy lives on in Torque Pharma’s ongoing commitment to developing high-quality medicines and promoting public well-being.
Managing Director
The story of Torque Pharma began in 1985 when Mr A.I.S. Bedi joined hands with Mr P.S. Chhatwal to build what would become one of the industry’s respected pharmaceutical enterprises. With over 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, he has guided the organisation with sharp business insight, practical leadership, and a clear focus on sustainable growth. His approach of leading by example has made him an integral pillar in Torque Pharma’s evolution. His belief in “Keep Walking” captures his commitment to persistence, support, and steady progress, values that continue to shape the company’s character.

Mr Mandeep Singh, Executive Director of Torque Pharmaceuticals, has been instrumental in supporting the company’s expansion journey. With strong academic grounding in pharmacy and international exposure through his work with Pfizer and Wyeth, he adds a valuable perspective to the organisation’s direction. Bringing a modern perspective to Torque Pharma, Mr Abhay Iqbal Singh Bedi plays an active role in the company’s evolving direction. As Director, he oversees key areas including product development, marketing strategy, brand visibility, and business outreach. His approach focuses on innovation, adaptability, and identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth. He remains closely involved in shaping the company’s working culture while upholding ethics, integrity, and industry compliance. With advanced learning in social innovation and entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics, he brings global insight to Torque Pharma’s mission.
