Ofloxamac-200 Tablets

Ofloxamac 200 tablet is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and is used to treat a range of bacterial infections.

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone whose primary mechanism of action is inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase. It has a broad spectrum of activity against aerobic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, although it is poorly active against anaerobes.

Ofloxamac 200 tablet is commonly used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.

Nausea, headache, dizziness, itching, insomnia, rashes.

Contraindicated in patients with a history of quinolone-associated hypersensitivity reactions, myasthenia gravis, and prolonged QTc interval.

Should not be taken with bepridil, cisapride, dronedarone, levoketoconazole, mesoridazine, pimozide, piperaquine, or thioridazine due to severe side effects.

Should be used with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders, seizures, or other certain pre-existing conditions.
