Podotor Cv Tablets

Podotor-CV is a combination of a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic and beta-lactamase inhibitor, which is used to treat infections caused by various gram-negative and positive bacteria.

Each film-coated tablet contains:

Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP eq. to Cefpodoxime 200 mg
Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP eq. to Clavulanic Acid 125 mg
Excipients q.s.
Colour Quinoline Yellow Lake

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of acute otitis media, pharyngitis and/or tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute uncomplicated urethral and cervical gonorrhoea, acute uncomplicated ano-rectal infections, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, acute maxillary sinusitis, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections (cystitis).

Storage

Store below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not refrigerate.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with a history of allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics. Concomitant use with antacids, probenecid, or nephrotoxic drugs may affect the safety or effectiveness of the medication. Use only as directed by the physician.
